I don't know about you, but I'm officially in spring mode.
Sunnier days and lighter evenings are finally here, and i'm loving every second of it. Lately I have been ditching the earth toned eye shadows for brighter pigments. I have fully embraced coloured eye shadows and I have been thoroughly enjoying experimenting with different looks. I have swapped champagne for pinks and browns for blue/green hues. I used to be terrified of using colour on my eyes, but over the last few weeks I have ventured out of my comfort zone and started using my brighter shadows that were forgotten about in the back of my makeup draws. MAC eye shadows have found a permanent place in my everyday makeup routine, especially their pigments!
Vanilla Pigment
The latest edition to my pigment collection, an iridescent white pigment with beautiful pink and champagne undertones. This shade is absolutely stunning and is such a versatile pigment. First of all, its very pigmented (duh!) so it can be used as an all over lid shade or you can apply a sheer dusting to be used as a highlight on the inner corners, under the brow bone, cupids bow and cheek bones. It is the perfect highlight shade for the eyes, it brightens up your eye area and makes it stand out a lot more. Definitely a cult favourite, I don't know why it took me so long to buy one.
Tan
Tan is the perfect spring/summer pigment. Its a beautiful bronze shade with a lot of pink undertones and a heavy amount of shimmer. This is my go-to eye shadow on days where I want to look bronzed and glowing. This will give your eye that all over shimmer effect as it has a lot of light reflecting particles in the formula. You can definitely build up the intensity of this pigment, you can use a lighter hand for a hint of colour or use a pressing motion with your brush and a mixing medium to build up the intensity layer by layer. It looks so pretty, and especially compliments us blue-eyed gals! I wish this picked up on camera just how beautiful this is in the flesh, its is simply gorgeous! If you are at a MAC any time soon, swatch Tan on the back of you hand and be prepared to buy it there and then.
Blue - Brown
Oh my, this pigment is my absolute favourite shade of all time. I cannot simply put into words how amazing this pigment is. It reminds me of summer and mermaids (anything that resembles mermaids is worth having, right?) Blue-Brown is a very warm toned brown based shade with iridescent blue undertones. This means that depending on the lighting and the angle of your face, this pigment can look either brown, copper, blue or an iridescent mix of them all. This is a very warm based product which compliments warm toned skins beautifully, and looks stunning on tanned skin. I have received so many compliments on my eyes when I wear this pigment, and as it is a warm toned brown it makes blue eyes pop. If I could rave about this pigment over and over again I would, it is simply beautiful. Its such a unique pigment, and a perfect way to add a little colour to your eye makeup without stepping too far out of your comfort zone.

I hope you are all having a wonderful Easter!
Oh gosh these pigments are stunning! Vanilla and Tan look like shades I would wear all the time, and their versatility sounds great! Blue-brown looks a lot like Club with that bluey-warm brown duochrome shift! Gorgeous!
